For more than 20 years, A.H Montessori has helped children build the confidence, independence, and strong foundations they carry into primary school.

our nest
A.H Montessori was shaped around a simple belief: children learn best where they are known closely, trusted deeply, and given room to do things for themselves.
That is why the school feels less like an institution and more like a prepared home: calm rooms, purposeful materials, and teachers who notice the small details.
Every child's path is personal. The way they enter the room, the work they return to, the confidence that appears in its own time. Staying attentive is how a small school becomes a real nest.

first flights
A child at A.H Montessori grows through four careful stages, each one designed for where they are and where they are going.
ages 2.5 to 3.5
A gentle transition for children who may never have been away from a parent. Short days, small groups, and a teacher at their level make school feel safe.
They begin joining routines, making small choices, and walking through the gate with growing confidence.
what changes: feeling safe.

a day in our life

Backpacks find their way to cubbies. Shoes line up neatly outside the classroom door. The hallway smells of fresh chalk and the breakfast someone forgot to finish at home. Every child gets a 'good morning' by name.
voices from the flock
The notes families leave behind say more than a brochure ever could.

“She walked into her interview reading fluently and asking the principal questions. We knew, in that moment, that A.H had done its job.”

“Every teacher here treats every child like their own. That isn't a marketing line. That's just what happens here.”

“What I tell other mothers: send your child here for the year before Grade 1, even if you've already paid somewhere else. We did. It was the best decision we made.”

“My son cried for two weeks before any school. By the third week at A.H, he was running in. The teachers have a gift I cannot explain.”
“They prepare the parents too.”
“This is a school that stayed small on purpose.”
ready for the open sky
By KG-2, academic work, independence, and social confidence begin to come together. We prepare children for the format and feeling of a Grade 1 interview without turning childhood into a drill.
what we keep in sight
01
KG-2 work builds sentence reading, sight words, digraphs, and independent writing. We assess progress and revisit what is not yet secure.
02
We make interview formats familiar. Children practise posture, eye contact, clear greetings, and answering questions without feeling drilled.
03
We share the application calendar, talk through school choices, and keep families informed throughout the admissions season.
The destination is different for every child. The preparation is not.
